Chaucer, as part of Bip Group, launches 2022 apprenticeship programme
19 August 2022 London: Chaucer, as part of global consulting firm Bip Group, has commenced its first apprenticeship programme to help widen access to a career in management consulting for people from all backgrounds.
The eighteen-month programme has six apprentices in the 2022 cohort who will secure a full-time analyst role on completion. This year the apprenticeship programme has one IT support analyst and five junior management consultants.
As part of the programme, the apprentices receive customised training and support with exposure to a range of industries and capabilities. They will have an opportunity to collaborate with internal teams including marketing, sales, finance, and HR. Together, they will give the apprentices the knowledge, skills, and behaviours they need to obtain their qualification. Additional support includes access to an ad hoc internal mentoring programme.
The company is committed to attracting and retaining the best people in the market and apprentices will play a key role in extending the company’s reach to a broader and more diverse pool of talent that is more representative of the geographies we operate in.
Thomas Fletcher Partner, Head of Operations at Chaucer said: “We have always prided ourselves in attracting people from a broad range of backgrounds, often those that have not followed a conventional route into consulting, and we have seen these broader perspectives enrich our clients’ businesses. Establishing this apprenticeship scheme this year is a major achievement for us in our commitment to fostering a more diverse and inclusive consulting team.
“With our 2022 programme just kicking off we are already starting to plan our 2023 cohort, giving ten more individuals invaluable experience to help them establish a successful career in consulting.”
