Chris is an entrepreneurial business leader who has held senior leadership positions in a diverse range of industries from Business Consulting, to Energy, to Software and Entertainment. He co-founded Chaucer in 1987 following a start in software development and has more than 25 years of consulting and client work in innovation, strategy, technology and large-scale transformations in various industries.
Now Group CEO of Chaucer, his experience lies in combining strategic, operational and financial management to achieve maximum shareholder value. Following a successful management buyout in February 2014, Chris, alongside the Chaucer leadership team, now aims to further expand Chaucer’s profitable growth both internationally and into new industries.
His current focus is to “Drive shareholder value while maintaining and promoting CHAUCER values and culture”.
A member of Chaucer’s board, Martin is focused on our growth and works with industry leads and the operating board to implement our growth strategy and develop the organisational processes, mind-set and capabilities that underpin it.
Martin has recently relocated back to the UK following a couple of years in New York as CEO of our US business where he worked with our industry leads to grow our client base and GP in North America across our Life Science, Energy and Financial Services industries. Prior to joining Chaucer in 2011, he held various Managing Director roles within the consulting and mining industries. He was a key part of a team that “commercialised” a £40m turnover employment law business, turning a serial loss maker into a profitable and growing organisation and was a board member of a small executive team that grew Europe’s largest innovation company to over £50m annual revenue. Martin started his career in the gold mining industry living in countries as diverse as Tajikistan, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, Australia and Russia.
An accredited change master, Martin brings a deep understanding of organisational change and over 20 years’ experience of how companies can transform to achieve growth.
Deborah is a Senior Executive with over 20 years of international experience in Management Consulting, IT Consulting, and Enterprise Software industries. As Head of Chaucer Energy, Deborah uses this knowledge and 10+ years of serving Oil and Energy customers to provide clients with innovative solutions advancing energy transition.
Before joining Chaucer, Deborah served as a Director for Sword Group, working in their Management Team to accelerate the group’s UK growth from £5m in 2003 to £100m in 2010. In addition, she also headed up their Software Division for Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance for 5 years, which included the acquisition strategy and execution.
Earlier in her career, she worked as a Management Consultant for SAP Global Rollouts in the Energy, Pharma and FMCG industries. Deborah obtained her MBA from The George Washington University, Washington D.C.
Paul is Global Head of Life Sciences and has over 20 years experience delivering change in Life Sciences companies around the world. His career kicked off as a statistician which has proven to be a great foundation for leading an organization that excels in data driven change.
Paul’s pharma career began in Pfizer in the UK before he moved with them to the USA. He then joined Chaucer in 2007 and started the Chaucer Life Sciences business.
As a leader delivering change in Research and Development, Paul has built many successful, motivated teams both internally at Chaucer and within our clients. He strongly believes it simple boils down to “Right people + right data = right change”. When not at work, Paul follows his passion for rugby by leading and coaching a youth rugby program, and his love for the outdoors by hiking in the wilderness.
Richard heads up Chaucer Digital within the Chaucer Consulting group.
He spent 21 years at Ford Motor Co and was the CIO for Ford of Europe for over five years. In a later move to UBS, Richard worked five years as CIO of the Global Asset Management Division. More recently, he was CIO for the Metropolitan Police Service in London for 2 years where he helped transform their Technology strategy and implement tablet devices for front-line officers to record crime and witness statements.
Richard is currently leading the Home Office’s Law Enforcement Landscape Mapping team providing oversight for 15 National Policing Technology programmes.
Natalia’s dedication to her clients is second-to-none and her growth mindset and foresight, together with consulting excellence and people focus, allow her to support many organisations on their transformational journeys.
She has designed and led cutting edge programmes in the Energy sector, and has recently moved to head the Central Government industry. Natalia specialises in translation from concepts to successful project implementation and brings a unique blend of strategy and operational expertise to meet our clients’ most pressing challenges to ensure the long term success.
She also mentors junior new joiners in Chaucer to enable them succeed at an individual and company-wide level.
Thomas joined Chaucer in 2007 looking for a career where he could help clients solve complex and challenging business problems to create sustainable change. His energy for tackling and solving problems with our clients has seen him work in the Healthcare, Telecoms, Energy and Transport Infrastructure sectors on some of the largest and most complex technology and data driven transformation programmes.
Thomas leads Chaucer’s Transformation Delivery practice creating new and innovative solutions for clients across all sectors to experience Chaucer’s delivery excellence and expertise yet he still finds time to train and run the odd marathon each year.
Julie joined Chaucer in 2001 and leads our finance and commercial teams acting as a business partner for operational, commercial and strategic activities.
She is responsible for all aspects of our finance function and control environment including payroll and payments, management and financial reporting, forecasting, treasury, governance and company secretarial.
